During more than forty years in the London Market, PG Butler has held a number of senior underwriting and executive positions in Lloyd’s and Company Markets. That experience encompasses: –
- Four years as Chief Underwriting Officer in a London Company Market (non-Lloyd’s)
- Twenty six years as Director on Underwriting Management and Main Boards in Companies and Lloyd’s Managing Agencies
- Five years as member of the two Underwriting Management Boards at R J Kiln Managing Agency at Lloyd’s, with responsibility for managing all underwriting-related affairs of all Kiln syndicates, including the flagships “Syndicate 510” and “Syndicate 557”
- Two years as Director of Lloyd’s Underwriters’ Non-Marine Association during “Reconstruction and Renewal” of the Lloyd’s Market
- Six years as Divisional Director at a Lloyd’s broker, and Chairman of its Security Committee
- Four years as Standard & Poor’s designated “Key Man”, Chief Capital Raiser and Sole Underwriter for “Puma” transaction: this project required a unique combination of executive and technical abilities to create the reinsurance industry’s first actively managed, multi-peril, multi-territory, multi-year catastrophe investment fund
